1. Introduction
- Purpose: This policy establishes the framework for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) at MField MEA to ensure the organization can maintain essential functions and recover from disruptions effectively.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders involved in MField MEA’s operations and IT infrastructure.
3. Policy Statement
MField MEA is committed to:
- Identifying critical business functions and IT systems.
- Developing and maintaining robust BCP and DR plans to minimize disruption impact.
- Testing and updating plans regularly to ensure effectiveness.
- Providing resources and training to support BCP and DR efforts.
4. Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
A Business Impact Analysis (BIA) will be conducted periodically to identify critical functions, dependencies, and acceptable downtime for each.
5. Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Plan Development: BCP plans will be developed for identified critical functions and IT systems, outlining procedures for continuity during disruptions.
- Plan Testing: BCP plans will be tested annually through tabletop exercises and simulations to validate their effectiveness.
- Plan Maintenance: Plans will be reviewed and updated annually or as significant changes occur within the organization.
6. Disaster Recovery (DR)
- DR Plan: A DR plan will be established to restore IT systems and data in the event of a disruption.
- Backup and Recovery: Regular backups of critical data will be performed and stored securely offsite.
- DR Testing: DR procedures will be tested biannually to ensure timely recovery and data integrity.
- DR Plan Maintenance: The DR plan will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in technology and business needs.
7. Roles and Responsibilities
- Executive Management: Responsible for approving and supporting BCP and DR initiatives.
- IT Department: Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and testing BCP and DR plans.
- Employees: Responsible for following BCP and DR procedures and participating in training and testing exercises.
8. Communication and Awareness
Communication protocols will be established to ensure employees and stakeholders are informed of BCP and DR procedures and their roles during disruptions.
9. Compliance
This policy complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing BCP and DR practices.
10. Review and Revision
This BCP and DR Policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to address changes in technology, operations, or regulatory requirements.
